LONDON – HLB International, one of the leading global accountancy networks with a presence in 140 countries has appointed Corney Versteden as Chairman from 1 January 2018.
Corney Versteden has been the Senior Tax Partner at HLB Van Daal & Partners since 2003, one of our member firms in the Netherlands. As such he serves as the leader of the firm’s regional and international tax services practice based in Waalwijk.
Versteden most recently served as a Council member of HLB International and as a member of HLB’s International Tax Committee where he has contributed to driving the network towards its focus on business development and generating cross-border work. He also was a member of the Dutch SRA Committee for tax quality and is a member of the Register van Belastingadviseurs.
Commenting on his appointment, Versteden states: “In my role as Chair I want to show that within HLB International the relationships with our clients are key. Next to helping on the development of the HLB-network, I also want to look into the new opportunities at hand. One of them is IT because it offers new ways to set up processes and it gives room for new services”.
Versteden takes over from Dave Stene, HLB International’s Chairman since 2015 and Partner in the Minneapolis office of Eide Bailly in the USA.
