HLB Global Survey of Business Leaders: Data handing information sheet

Invitation Paragraph

We would like to invite you to participate in this survey, which forms the basis of HLB’s global survey of business leaders. You are being invited to participate in this survey because you are identified as a business leader by HLB or one of HLB’s member firms.

Participation is completely voluntary. If you choose to take part, you will be asked to provide your consent. To do this you will be asked to indicate that you have read and understand the information provided and that you consent to your anonymous data being used for the purposes explained.

You are free to withdraw at any point during completion of the survey, without having to give a reason. Once you submit the survey, it will no longer be possible to withdraw from the study because the data will be fully anonymous.

What is the purpose of the study?

The purpose of the survey is to gain insights into the challenges business leaders across the world face related to the global health and economic crises, and their response from a business point of view. The findings of the survey will be used in a report that will be published by HLB International Limited and the accompanying campaign around this report

What will happen if I take part?

If you agree to take part, you will be asked to complete an anonymous survey. The survey will ask you questions about the business environment you operate in and the types of opportunities and challenges your sector faces. The survey will take you approximately 10 minutes to complete.

What will happen to the results of the study?

The results of the survey will be summarised and published through a global marketing campaign by HLB International. The summarised findings will be used in a white paper report and can be used in other marketing outputs such as articles, presentations and webinars among other things. Participating in the survey provides you with the opportunity to co-create with HLB on this campaign and provides a benchmark among business leaders across the world.

Data handling and confidentiality

This survey is anonymous which means individuals are no longer identifiable.

This means that no one, including the HLB research team analysing the survey data, will be aware of your identity, and that no one will be able to connect you to the answers. The data will be treated confidentially, and the information provided will not allow any identification in any research outputs/publications. The anonymised data will be held securely.

In any case HLB will not keep your personal data for any longer than is necessary in light of the reason(s) for which it was first collected.

The data will be anonymous to minimise the risk of a breach of confidence, designed to ensure the quality of data collected is sufficient for the intended purpose(s) and optimised for handling the collected data.

The data will not be further processed in a manner that is incompatible with those purposes; further processing for archiving purposes in the legitimate interest, or statistical purposes shall, in accordance with Article 89(1), not be considered to be incompatible with the initial purposes (‘purpose limitation’);

Information about an individual which is held in confidence will not be disclosed to

a third party. Anonymised data will be stored in an access-controlled area in preference to retaining the identity of the subject of that information where practical.

The data controller for this project is Abu Bakkar, Chief Innovation Officer at HLB International. Your data will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679 “GDPR”)
