#HLBCommunities Day
On 5th June 2025 we held our seventh #HLBCommunities Day; our annual network-wide initiative during which we come together to support our local communities through a wide variety of voluntary actions. We saw significant involvement from HLB firms across the globe seeking to make a tangible difference,
HLB firmly believe that engaging effectively with our global communities is the key to shaping an inclusive and sustainable future for all.
While this is a key commitment all year round, with #HLBCommunities Day we create a dedicated time and space during 'World Environment Day' for our members to give back, expressing our gratitude to the very communities that nurture and support us.
Pictured below are just some of the incredible initiatives which our teams worldwide dedicated themselves to throughout the year.

HLB Cares
Established in 2025, HLB Cares reflects the network’s collective commitment to responsible business, translating our network ESG strategy from ambition into action across regions.
Our global leadership team, led by HLB Cares chair Vinod Nambiar, has made ESG accountability a defining feature of how HLB operates, and standout contributions from firms network-wide demonstrate what it looks like to genuinely walk the talk.
HLB Cares work in its inaugural year didn't go unnoticed as we picked up the ESG/Sustainability Initiative of the Year at the International Accounting Forum Awards. This is not a programme which simply sits alongside our strategy; it is how our purpose and strategy is lived, every day, across the whole of the HLB network.

Neurodiversity Report and Toolkit
In September 2025 we published our global report 'The Link Between Innovation and Neurodiversity', exploring how neurodiverse talent drives business innovation and success. The report provides the professional services sector with insights and tools that unlock greater inclusion, innovation, and resilience across global markets, while reinforcing HLB’s commitment to advancing diversity as a driver of long-term success. Through a companion toolkit, we provide actionable guidance for leaders seeking to build neuroinclusive workplaces through a three-step framework
Our carbon footprint
HLB are currently in our first full year of formal carbon footprint measurement. To ensure our reporting is rigorous, industry-aligned, and actionable, we have adopted TRACE by Isla as our primary carbon footprint measurement platform, allowing us to capture and analyse emissions across critical conferencing areas including energy, travel, and waste.
We have successfully completed measurement of our most recent two international conferences, and will continue to use the platform for future events.
Following this established foundation, we will use the data to audit internal operations and supply chain impacts to better understand emission hotspots. Our next step is to utilise this baseline data, in collaboration with our suppliers, to set meaningful, regulation-based targets for carbon reduction and minimising waste.
